As an IT professional I am very eager to learn new technologies. The extensive work on projects that I carried out during my studies at University of Karachi greatly enhanced my ability to work with in a team and to meet deadlines.

I started my career at Progressive Systems Pvt. Ltd., which deals in export projects especially for USA. As a Software Developer I learnt how to act as an interface between my managers, my clients and my team members. Most of my work is related to USA assignments, which gave me the opportunity to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. I am still working in this company.

This utility was developed for a US based company which provides different

facilities in the field of health. This software fetches the data of claims from database

and generates a report in formats, which is acceptable for different insurance

companies.

Visual Freight Management System for CompCare

Tools: Visual Basic 6.0, MS SQL Server, Oracle 7.3, MS Access 97, ADO

Platform: Windows NT, Windows 9x.

It is a Three Tier Architecture product, which cater the needs of trucking companies

in USA. It facilitates the user from Order placing to its Accounting. It was developed

for a US based company CompCare. In three member team I was involved in its

Analysis, Designing and Implementation.

Projects During Studies:

Leave and Payroll System for ITIM Associates

Tools: Visual Basic 5.0, MS Access 97.

Platform: Windows 9x.

It is a desktop application, which automate the Payroll and Leave system of company.

Along basic operations it is capable to produce different types of letters such as Visa

Letters, Appointment Letters on the basis of employee's selection.

In two-member team I took part in Analysis, Designing and Implementation.

Expert System Shell

Tools: Visual Basic 5.0, MS Access 97.

Platform: Windows 9x.

This software can gather data from user in form of questions and arrange it in tree

Form, after providing data when questions are asked by user it provides answers by

analyzing question. It is a useful utility for decision-making environment. In two

members team. I took part in all three phases. This software was developed to fulfil

the requirement of Expert System Course in MCS.

Library Information System for College of Accounting and Management Sciences

Tools: Developer 2000(Forms, Menus, Reports, Graphs), Oracle 7.3.

Platform: Windows NT.

This software manages all the records of books, magazine, newspapers and members.

In two members team I took part in all three phases. This software was developed for

the fulfillment of final project of Database course in MCS.

Encyclopedia of Pakistan

Tools: Visual Basic 4.0.

Platform: Windows 95.

It is a multimedia software which provides information about Pakistan through

sounds, pictures, movie clips and text. It was developed for A.Q.Khan Software

Competition held in 1997 in Islamabad and won Special Golden Jubilee Prize. In

three members’ team I was involved in Analysis, Designing and Coding.

Prize:

Won a special Golden Jubilee Prize in 8^th All Pakistan Software Competition and Exhibition, Islamabad 1997, organized by A.Q.Khan Research Labs.

Software Description: Encyclopedia of Pakistan is a multimedia software which contains Text, Pictures, Songs, Speeches related to Pakistan. It was designed in VB 4.0.
